Is it Time to Recommit?

We’ve all done it—we commit.

We commit when we get married. We commit to a college. We commit to being parents. We commit to a job. We commit to living a healthier lifestyle.

But here’s what we also know: to have a strong marriage, to succeed in college, to show up as the parents we want to be, and to thrive in our careers… we have to recommit—over and over again.

Because at some point, it all gets hard. That’s life. And when it does, we recommit.

The same is true for our health and fitness journey. We make the commitment, but as soon as it gets tough, we start to pull back. We tell ourselves:

  • “I can never stick to a program.”

  • “I can’t do this forever.”

  • “This is overwhelming.”

  • “I’ll start again when life isn’t so ______.” (you fill in the blank)

But here’s the truth: just like your marriage, your career, and parenting, your health requires recommitment—again and again.

Sometimes that means trying a different approach. Asking for help. Starting fresh. Slowing down.

It simply means you keep showing up.

Recommitment doesn’t need to come with shame, guilt, or embarrassment. It’s not a failure—it’s part of the process every single person goes through.

So, ask yourself…is it time to recommit?
